Robin provides seasoned federal communications counsel to providers of voice and data services. Her representation includes advocacy on policy-making, guidance on regulatory compliance, compliance training, regulatory strategy in acquisitions, project management, contract negotiations and drafting, and complaint resolution. Her legal and regulatory counsel is complemented by her in-house experiences immersed in the day-to-day business operations of two of the industry’s larger carriers, including FairPoint Communications and ensuring its compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements in the Verizon New England landline acquisition. Robin’s work in the communications field has spanned the evolution of the industry on a wide array of issues, ranging from implementation of some of the first interconnection agreements negotiated by MCI following the 1996 Act to the universal service and intercarrier compensation changes impacting mid-size and rural carriers following the FCC’s adoption of the Connect America Fund Order in 2011 to the FCC’s latest focus on broadband expansion.
Robin is an avid amateur photographer, capturing her travels to new places, walks on the beach, and hikes in the mountains. She also enjoys reading a good book in the hammock.
