NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association recognized Donald (Dee) Herman, Principal at Herman & Whiteaker, as the winner of the NTCA Associate Member Outstanding Achievement Award. Dee is the recipient of one of only nine awards presented to individuals across the full membership during the recent 2022 Rural Telecom Industry Meeting and Expo.

The NTCA Excellence Awards recognize those NTCA members who have shown exceptional commitment to the rural broadband industry. Winners are selected annually by the association’s Awards Committee, comprised of NTCA members.

“The winners exemplify the values of dedication, service and support for NTCA members. I want to congratulate and thank Dee for his leadership and contributions to NTCA and our industry,” said NTCA Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield.

Dee was recognized for his service as pro-bono counsel to the Foundation for Rural Service and for his tireless advocacy on behalf of NTCA members. He previously served as the Chairman and member of the Associate Member Advisory Counsel. Dee has been a frequent speaker at NTCA events, volunteered his time, and sponsored several events in support of the industry.

“I am humbled by this award,” commented Herman. “NTCA plays an integral part in ensuring success for its members and in working to ensure that affordable broadband is available to all rural Americans.”
